COMPARATIVE
FLOW CHARACTERISTICS - 1/2" BOILER FEED VALVES
The
Cash-Acme Type A-89 features "rapid fill" capability,
allowing a plumber to more quickly fill a Hydronic System after
installation or maintenance. For example, with an inlet pressure
of 50 psi and a delivery pressure of 14 psi, the Cash-Acme Type
A-89 maintains a higher flow rate as the delivery pressure drops.
This allows the Hydronic System to fill much more quickly and
inexpensively. (See chart.)

APPLICATIONS:
For hot water space heating boilers. Designed for larger boilers
requiring faster filling.

A-41 -3/4" only
AB-40 -1/2" only
FEATURES:
AB-40 has bronze body, heat resistant diaphragm and seat disc,
inbuilt strainer screen and an inbuilt check valve to retard reverse
flow of boiler water which could drain the boiler. For larger
boilers requiring faster filling, the A-41 provides increased
capacity. Furnished with threaded female connections only, iron
body, balanced piston inbuilt strainer screen, heat-resistant
diaphragm and seat disc, and stainless steel body seat. Reduced
pressure setting is 14 psi. Maximum inlet pressure is 200 psi.
The AB-40 features a "combo connection" which allows
either a threaded or sweat copper connection with the same union
tailpiece. The AB-40 also provides an inbuilt bypass for rapid
filliog, high pressure testing and system purging. Standard reduced
pressure setting is 14 psi with an adjustable range from 2 to
30 psi. Maximum inlet pressure is 200 psi.

Both feature an inbuilt check valve to retard reverse flow of
boiler water. A-43CRF and the A-89 feature rapid fill capability
and balanced piston for closer outlet control regardless of variations
in inlet pressure. Standard reduced pressure setting is 14 psi
with an adjustment range from 2 to 30 psi. Maximum inlet pressure
is 200 psi.
OPTIONS:
Available with threaded connection or sweat copper union inlet.
